Esc closes any open panel or drawer that is not an inspector (inspectors are the location finder, the word metadata panel, the location info panel, and the carousel panel, i.e. all floating windows that do not concern themselves with settings). You can also close them by clicking on any location on the map with no dot.

When in split screen mode:
  • use Ctrl or Alt as modifier for zoom operations on the right hand map;
  • click on a location from the location finder while holding Ctrl or Alt to reveal in the right hand map.
